Based in Marquette, Michigan, the Make-Believe Spurs have been captivating audiences as a band since 2022. Drawing inspiration from renowned artists like Chris Stapleton, the Grateful Dead, John Prine, Tyler Childers, and Nathaniel Rateliff, their versatile sound ranges from intimate harmonies to energetic electric performances that get crowds moving. Touring extensively with nearly 200 shows annually, they perform all over the United States, with a particular focus on audiences in the Great Lakes region.

Their journey has seen them grace the stages of venues such as Cedar Point, the Black Squirrel Bluegrass and Americana Festival, Albion College, and the Hiawatha Music Co-Op, among others. Brian Wallen is a 2nd place winner of the International Blues Challenge and an avid coffee drinker. Molly Wallen, a classically trained vocalist with a background in opera, also delights in solving crossword puzzles and mastering the art of crochet. Meanwhile, Mavis Farr, who honed her craft in West African drums and percussion at Oakland University, infuses her magic into the world as a skilled silversmith and jeweler. Together, they share a common affinity for thrifted fashion and rescue dogs.
